The mini-bag trend has taken on epic proportions this season (pun most definitely intended). I’m such a fan of this trend and it’s become a running joke amongst my friends, because the smaller and more impractical the better. I know what you’re thinking “where am I supposed to put my phone?” let’s be real guys – your phone is always in your hand anyway. This trend, as infuriating as it may be for some, is here to stay so I’ve picked my favourite mighty minis that will make a statement this spring.
Jacquemus Le Vanity
Starting the list off with the miniest of them all! I love the colour of this Jacquemus bag and its gold chain detail makes it the perfect evening bag. Pair it with an all powder blue look to be totally on trend for SS19 or with any of Jacquemus’ pieces from the most recent collection (I’ve got my eye on so many bits).
Carolina Santo Domingo raffia tote
The first of two “beach bags” on this list. To be fair the mini-beach bag is probably a trend all on its own this season. The Corallina tote is the perfect companion to your resort wear but will look equally as chic with a pair of jeans and a crisp white shirt.
Rejina Pyo Nane tote
My personal favourite on the list (it’s already in my cart) is the canvas tote from Rejina Pyo. I’ve loved this brand’s bags the last few seasons and this is no different. I actually stumbled across this piece while looking for a white Ascot bag from The Row. It’s very similar but at a fraction of the cost, hence the add-to-cart.
Loewe Puzzle bag
One may argue that designers are getting lazy and just releasing miniature versions of their best-selling styles but…. who cares I still love it. The mini Puzzle from Loewe is no exception. I especially die for it in this fuchsia shade, I’m having a real moment with this colour after seeing it all over the red carpet this award season (Gemma Chan at the Oscars really took home the best-in-class award for this one).
Jacquemus Le Petit Baci
Our second mini beach and Jacquemus bag rounds out the list. As I said I loved the brands SS19 collection and I had my eye on this bag from the moment I saw it on the runway. It’s obviously not much of a beach bag considering it’s size, it’s more of a lunch-by-the-beach bag. I can think of a few beach clubs where I’m sure I’m going to see this little number.
