I first discovered Drunk Elephant about a year and half ago at Sephora in LA. I was in the middle of a battle with pigmentation under my eyes. You can read about how I managed to get it under control here and here. The first product I tried was their Vitamin C serum and it worked so well (and I loved the packaging so much) I went back for more products. The brand has received so much hype and well deserved praise that they continue to expand their line. So to make your life easier I thought I go through my top 3 favourite drunk elephant products.
C-Firma Day Serum
So as I mentioned their C-Firma serum was my first DE product. I had just finished my bottle of Skinceuticals’ C E Ferulic serum (also amazing) and was on the hunt to try something new. To be honest, I’d never heard of the brand before and what drew me to it was the packaging (love the twist top pump) and the 15% L-Ascorbic acid. I also found that serum was less irritating over my glycolic acid toners than other Vit-C serums I’d tried. I loved it so much I repurchased it and even gave one to my sister to try!

A-Passioni Retinol Cream
The A-Passioni cream is DE’s newest addition to the line up and their first retinol product. It’s a fairly recent purchase for me but I’ve been using it solid for two months now. I always include a retinol in my night-time routine (you can read more about that here). This one is 1% retinol, which is the maximum I would ever subject my skin too. This is a very effective but very active product. If you’re a first time or irregular retinol user I would definitely start with only using this product twice a week and gradually increase from there. If you’re over 25 and not using retinol in your skin care regime – prepare for your mind to be blown, it will transform your skin. I love this DE product because I find it less aggravating than my previous cream, but to be honest I can’t tell if that’s the product or because my skin has gotten used to retinol now.
Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil
Last but definitely not least is the Virgin Marula facial oil. I got the tester of this with another product I was trying and liked it so much I bought the large size. I swear by facial oils and I have so many that all do different things but this one is one of my favourites for when my skin needs to be nourished and hydrated. I use this after I’ve done a AHA and BHA mask to soothe and I even pop a few drops in my moisturiser if my skin feels dehydrated. It doesn’t clog my pores and just give me that glow I’m always chasing.
