This born and bred Sydney-sider is one impressive lady. A quick glance at her Instagram and you would be forgiven for scrolling and getting lost in her glossy life. Killer outfits, check, holidays in Capri, check, fabulous events, check, adorable fiancé, check. But did I mention she started her own PR firm at 23? The Audience Agency is now one of Australia’s leading PR houses with an ever-growing list of local and international clients. So, who better to take us around Sydney than this fabulous insider.
Where to stay:
“I highly recommend renting a home in the eastern suburbs via Contemporary Hotels – this will give you the luxury Sydney experience and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all my recommendations. Sydney is blessed with lots of space and sprawling suburbs so car hire will make life much easier during your stay – and there’s always Uber for the times where you’re planning on sipping a few cocktails…
Eat: Lunch at Raw Bar, Bondi Beach. This incredible Japanese restaurant has been going strong for over 20 years, partly due to its incredible dishes – there’s just something so amazing about tucking in to sushi and sashimi with the sea sparkling in the distance. The crunchy salmon roll is a must!
Drink: Head to Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel – get there just before sunset and grab an Aperol Spritz because nothing beats this view in Sydney.
Shop: The Intersection, Paddington. Australia’s fashion labels all in one elegant place…, you might want to block out your whole afternoon for this one.
Do: Head for a dip at Parsley Bay in Vaucluse. The staircase into the water has become an iconic landmark (and a popular Instagramming backdrop).
Eat: Start the day at Bills Bondi Beach and I strongly advise you choose the ricotta hotcakes (so naughty but worth it) or his signature scrambled eggs on toast. Bills is a Sydney institution with laid-back brunch vibes.
Drink: Icebergs Dining Room, arguably Sydney’s most well-located bar and restaurant for incredible views over the pool and out to sea. Skip the drinks menu and order the no.8 cocktail, one of my favourites.
Shop: Gould Street, Bondi for the best in boutique shopping by the beach. I’m obsessed with the Playa by Lucy Folk store.
Do: The famous Bondi to Bronte Coastal walk, an amazing trail past beautiful beaches. It’s not an easy stroll so wear your brightest active wear and load up on water! Finish back in North Bondi and have a sunset drink and a fish taco at North Bondi Fish
Eat: I’m a complete Italian-food addict so I’d happily eat at Fratelli Paradiso in Potts Point for breakfast, lunch and dinner! You’re transported to Rome as soon as you step through the door.
Drink: Charlie Parker in Paddington, very cool basement bar with lots of cosy little nooks. The cocktail list is amazing and the bar staff are seriously knowledgeable and passionate about their drinks creations.
Shop: Westfield, central Sydney. This shopping centre was a game-changer when it launched; it’s got a great mix of international designers and Australian labels, lifestyle, homewares, and a street-market style food hall.
Do: Set off on a walk from Woolloomooloo Wharf (maybe after lunch at Otto or China Doll) round to the Sydney Opera House for a peek at our iconic landmark. Finish up at Opera Bar for a drink while soaking up the incredible view.
